Harkidun offers a remarkable trekking experience, with sweeping views of the surrounding mountains and the charm of remote villages along the way.
The route passes through isolated, untouched settlements where shepherds bring their animals to graze. You will stay with local families and have the opportunity to connect with them in Osla, a scenic and picturesque village.
In Harkidun Valley, dramatic Himalayan giants such as the Swargarohini peaks, Kala Nag, and Bandarpoonch create an unforgettable backdrop. The valley itself is breathtaking, and the trek can be extended further to explore the area up to Jaundhar Glacier or Maninda Tal.
The journey can also be combined with Kedarkhanta Peak, at 3,700 m.
Without a doubt, this is one of the must-do treks in Uttarakhand, with so much to discover throughout the experience.
