Writing and sharing your words in a room filled with women can feel both empowering and liberating. Join Krista Vernoff to set aside the inner critic and embrace the truth that there is no wrong way to write.
Krista Vernoff believes expressive writing helps move feelings out of the body and onto the page.
If you carry stories within you that want to be told but you are unsure how to begin, this workshop is for you. Expressive writing can support mood, mental health, and the immune system. The prompts offered are often ideal, bite-sized starting points for larger creative projects.
By putting pen to paper a little each day, you honor your lived experience, your feelings, your creativity, and your right to write. Expressive writing is a healing practice, and it is not only for writers—though writers will likely find it deepens their work.
Because the process is about freeing our natural voices and telling our stories, sharing is an essential part of the experience. Still, no one will be required to read their writing to the full group. Feedback in this class comes through support and encouragement, never criticism.
Note: This workshop is for all who identify as women. The workshop begins Friday at 7:00 p.m.
