Our aim is to give every participant a strong educational base across a range of yoga styles, with the main focus placed on vinyasa flow and yin yoga. By the end of the training, you will have developed the knowledge and practical skills to lead a wide variety of classes for different client types, anywhere in the world.
This section offers a detailed study of postures and the ways they influence the body on both a physical and emotional level. You will examine asana in depth, including the effects of gravity, the central nervous and lymphatic systems, cellular structure, and other foundational principles.
We will support you in understanding the ethics of becoming a yoga teacher. You will learn how to bring self-care into both your personal practice and your teaching, for your own wellbeing and for the benefit of future students.
Another key part of the training is helping each attendee build the confidence to discover their own authentic voice as a yoga teacher.
You will build confidence in knowing when to assist students and how to do so appropriately. This includes understanding different personalities and adapting to a variety of body types.
We will present the full ashtanga-inspired vinyasa flow sequence, refined through thousands of hours of teaching experience.
We take a deep dive into an extensive philosophical framework that forms an essential part of the curriculum. Topics include the historical background of yoga, the sutras, the three guṇas, Patañjali’s eight limbs, vrittis, pañca kleśās, and the purusharthas. We also explore how these ancient teachings continue to shape modern practice.
Study the science of breath, bandha locks, and the function of the energy bodies. You will also become familiar with the nāḍīs, the chakras, and the relationship between individual asana and chakra activation.
Chant freely, understand the role of drishti, and explore what true meditation means in practice.
After completing the basic anatomy training, you will gain a clear understanding of how the body functions. This knowledge can then be applied to support safe, effective practice and teaching.
This part of the training explores the five elements, meridian lines, the myofascial and fascial systems, and pathways to the brain and nervous system. You will also learn about ayurvedic principles, nutrition and lifestyle, the use of bolsters, yin sequencing, and more.
The package includes our 180-page in-depth manual.
