Join Kathy Milanowski in person in Deerfield, Wisconsin, or online live via Zoom for this two-day training in the ICRT Animal Reiki vibration. Open to all Reiki lineages, this workshop is designed for anyone with Reiki II or higher who wants to deepen their practice and learn how to share Reiki with animals.
Animal Reiki I & II are taught together over two days and include two Animal Reiki Placements (attunements). This comprehensive beginning training prepares participants to offer Animal Reiki treatments to all species of animals. The Animal Reiki energy taught in this course is unique and intended specifically for animals. The Placements attune the Animal Reiki symbol and unite it with each student’s existing Reiki energy and symbols, supporting the ability to channel this special energy.
2026 Schedule
Cost: $525.00
Hours: 9:00 am–5:00 pm daily, unless otherwise noted
Prerequisite: Reiki II from any lineage
This workshop includes live online participation through Zoom or attendance at the scheduled in-person location. In-person students in Deerfield will receive a softcover book and their credentials during class. Online participants will receive a digital manual, and credentials will be emailed upon completion. All students also receive a one-year subscription to Reiki Magazine.
During the class, you will explore the history of ICRT Animal Reiki, the definition of Animal Reiki, and priorities for working with animals. The curriculum also includes a refresher on Usui Reiki symbols, the Animal Reiki symbol known as The Tree of Life, and the Animal Reiki I & II Placements.
Training covers practical techniques for both in-person and distant sessions, including preparation exercises and healing meditation practices such as the Animal Reiki Grounding Exercise, Whole Body Awareness Exercise, Divine Animal Circle Healing Technique, Healing Compassion Fatigue, and Animal Grief Healing Meditation. You will also learn how to offer full sessions, how to seek an animal’s consent for Reiki, and how to adapt your approach to different session environments.
Additional topics include common healing concerns for animals, such as disharmony, unfulfilled purpose, loneliness, grief, confusion, illness, compassion fatigue, end-of-life support, animals and children, and behavioral challenges. Distant Animal Reiki methods may be used for individual animals or groups, with guidance on using photos, written notes, FaceTime, or live webcams.
The workshop also addresses how to work with many species of animals, how to balance empathy and compassion, and the importance of practitioner self-care. You will have practice time during class and are encouraged to continue practicing afterward with animals from your own family or friends to build confidence and experience.
Finally, the course looks at how to create a thriving Animal Reiki practice in professional and formal settings such as veterinary offices, zoos, wildlife rehab facilities, animal shelters, therapy animal organizations, and animal sanctuaries.
Each participant receives the ICRT Animal Reiki I & II Manual by Colleen Benelli, Sioux Strong, Robyn Benelli, and Pamela Allen-LeBlanc, along with a class certificate and the one-year Reiki News Magazine subscription.
