These oils may be used in massage, an ancient healing art of touch. They are typically blended with vegetable, coconut, grapeseed, or sunflower oils. As the aromatic molecules move through the skin, they are absorbed into the body’s fluids and carried into the bloodstream.
The scents of essential oils also activate the emotional center of the brain. This highly responsive system is linked to other vital areas that help regulate heartbeat, blood pressure, breathing, memory, and the body’s response to stress.
Aromatherapy may support concerns such as stress, insomnia, headaches and migraines, muscular tension, stiffness and fatigue, high blood pressure, irritable bowel syndrome, anxiety and palpitations, as well as menstrual and menopausal symptoms.
In this workshop, you will explore the fundamentals of aromatherapy for home use and have the opportunity to create your own blends to take home.
You will receive guidance and safety advice, along with information on the benefits, dilution, and uses of aromatherapy, plus a pack containing 3 sample high-grade pure essential oils and base products including cream, massage oil, and bath & shower gel for your personal blends.
