This seven-day yoga retreat in Chacala, Mexico is designed for anyone longing for rest, reconnection, and renewal in a serene coastal setting. Hosted at Mar de Jade, a long-established yoga and wellness retreat center tucked between the jungle and the sea, it offers an ideal backdrop to slow down, settle the nervous system, and return to what feels most meaningful.
Guided by Shane and Vinita, the program features twice-daily yoga. Mornings begin with an energizing, grounding practice, while evenings invite a softer pace through restorative movement and kirtan. An optional morning meditation is also offered for those who want to begin the day with calm and clarity; no prior meditation experience is needed.
The afternoons leave plenty of room for both rest and choice. Guests can join optional workshops, enjoy spa treatments, relax by the pool, or take part in group activities such as sweat lodge ceremonies, farm tours, and garden volunteering. Everything is optional, giving each participant the freedom to move through the retreat in a way that matches their own energy and pace.
Meals at Mar de Jade are generous, nourishing, and farm-to-table. Breakfast is served buffet-style at communal tables, and dinner is prepared with care and shared in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that supports connection and ease.
Deeply rooted in service and community care, Mar de Jade supports local initiatives including an organic farm, a community school, and youth education programs. A portion of every stay directly contributes to these efforts, allowing guests to support the land and community that welcome them.
Open to individuals, couples, and friends at every stage of life, this retreat is well suited to those moving through transition as well as anyone simply seeking rest and clarity. Fall Reset offers a supportive space to arrive as you are and leave feeling grounded, refreshed, and renewed.

Vinita Laroia
Vinita has been practicing yoga since 1998, with a path shaped by years of study, travel, and life close to nature in places including Colorado, Wyoming, Japan, and California. Her training has included work with both well-known and lesser-known teachers across vinyasa, yin, barre, meditation, Pilates, and sound therapy, and she recently became a NASM-certified trainer. Her teaching is grounded, intuitive, and carefully layered, encouraging students to explore their edge while also giving themselves permission to truly rest. With a calming voice and a nurturing presence, she creates a supportive space that extends beyond the mat.
Shane Davis
In 2014, Shane made a major life shift by leaving a 15-year medical career to work in preventative healthcare and teach yoga. Raised in a Protestant culture and having left the church at 19, he went on to study Buddhism, meditation, and Existentialist philosophy throughout his twenties. He took his first yoga class in 2008 while on an online date. A classically trained pianist who grew up singing hymns, Shane feels a strong connection to Bhakti practice and chanting (kirtan), and he teaches a weekly class that blends kirtan with vinyasa flow. In addition to leading classes and teacher trainings, he also works as a personal coach, helping people learn from the past and create a meaningful future.
