On July 21, we invite you to a cozy evening of writing and inner peace at the Vilnius University Botanical Garden in Kairėnai. This evening is for those who want to slow down, put their accumulated thoughts into words, release inner tension, and spend time surrounded by nature without rushing.
Sometimes there are just too many thoughts. They spin around, repeat themselves, and pile up. But deep down, you don’t want yet another answer—you want silence. Writing can become a space where you don’t have to phrase your thoughts beautifully or be a “writer.” It’s enough to pause, write down what’s there in the moment, and allow yourself to hear what lies deeper.
This evening, together with writer and psychologist Greta Lietuvninkaitė, we’ll explore the practice of reflective writing, try out journaling techniques, and discover how writing can help create more inner peace.
What will you experience this evening?
You’ll learn where to start writing when your mind is overwhelmed with thoughts.
You’ll try out reflective writing techniques that help release tension.
You’ll experience how writing can help you listen to yourself more clearly.
You’ll explore how writing can help you discover things you often fail to notice in everyday life.
You’ll create more silence, clarity, and inner peace.
You’ll participate in a cozy small group with plenty of space for yourself, silence, and listening.
You’ll end the evening with a soothing meditation to release tension in your body, mind, and inner self.
Evening Schedule
5:00–8:00 p.m.
Reflective writing practice with Greta Lietuvninkaitė.
During the evening, we’ll write, pause, reflect, and try out techniques that help us express what’s building up inside. This is not a creative writing class, and no writing experience is necessary. The most important thing is to come as you are right now.
8:00–9:00 p.m.
A soothing evening meditation to release tension in the body, mind, and spirit.
This meditation will help you gently wrap up the evening, calm your body, and return to inner stillness.
Light plant-based snacks—free of gluten, sugar, lactose, meat, and eggs—will be served during the evening.
The workshop will be led by Greta Lietuvninkaitė
Greta Lietuvninkaitė is a writer and the author of the books *Slėpynės* and *Du vandenynai*. A graduate in psychology, she has been leading the “Write it Out” writing workshops in Iceland since 2019.
She recently presented the success story of this workshop at the international “Journaling Festival” in Barcelona. This is a unique opportunity to participate in Greta’s first writing workshop in Lithuania.
Greta will share reflective writing techniques, which we’ll put into practice during the evening and experience their benefits firsthand. These methods were born in the silence of a remote fjord, where writing became a source of strength even during the darkest time of the year.
“If you gather them by the handful, you can weather even the darkest winter,” Greta jokes.
