Enjoy a summer escape at Mulvarra House with seven days devoted to yoga, meditation, relaxation, and the beautiful setting of St Mullins.
Brian McVeigh
Brian is a qualified 250-hour yoga teacher, trained in Hatha, Vinyasa, and Shakti Rasa Yoga with Debbie Coradino and Veronica Larsson, and he continues to deepen his practice through ongoing learning with Marianne Jacuzzi.
He returns to Mulvarra House for this special week, supported by Orla Conlon and by our own Tim Dawson.
The long summer evenings create the ideal atmosphere to experience the charm of St Mullins: sunsets over Brandon, deep quiet interrupted only by birdsong and the wind in the trees. Morning yoga will be a dynamic flowing practice, and it is also suitable for yoga beginners. In the early evening, the pace shifts to yin yoga, with slower movement and longer holds. There will also be plenty of time for meditation and pranayama breathing exercises.
When the weather is fine, the evening practice will take place outdoors on our yoga deck, which looks out over the valley and the River Barrow. With extra daylight hours, there will be time to unwind, spend time with the group, or simply relax with a good book. Nourish your body, mind, and soul with a week of yoga, meditation, hiking, kayaking, and whatever else you feel called to explore.
At Mulvarra, food is something we truly care about: where it comes from, how it is grown, how it is prepared, and who you share it with. While Mulvarra and its Breathing Space are still in the early stages of development, we use fresh ingredients and organic produce wherever possible, and in time we hope to grow our own food. Our kitchen generally focuses on vegetarian cooking, though we are flexible and can cater to a range of dietary restrictions. Vegetarian food is wonderfully versatile, and many people find they do not miss meat at all when it is absent from the plate. Whatever your view on the subject, it is clear that meat production in most countries is not sustainable and is certainly not animal friendly. On the rare occasions when meat dishes are prepared, they are sourced organically.
Discover the magic of St Mullins, known as the jewel of the Barrow, and enjoy a setting rich in history and natural beauty.
