About Our School Break & Pro-D Day Camps
These fun, full-day adventure camps are offered during summer break, winter break, spring break, and professional development days.
Located near the peaceful ocean and Rocky Point Park, RVN Wellness in Port Moody offers an ideal setting for children from the Tri-Cities and School District 43 to explore, connect, and grow during school breaks and Pro-D days. Led by a Social Worker and Yoga Instructor, along with a Certified Children’s Yoga Instructor, the camps are thoughtfully created to support young minds while building resilience and confidence through engaging, age-appropriate experiences.
Our Pro-D day curriculum invites children to explore movement, self-confidence, and social awareness through yoga, mindfulness, nature, and group discussions. School break camps are typically aligned with the SD 43 calendar, including Moody Elementary, Pleasantside Elementary, Mountain Meadows Elementary, public elementary schools in Coquitlam, and Port Coquitlam.
During School Breaks – Summer Break, Winter Break, Spring Break
Resilient Kids Adventure Camps are a favorite with children, offering an empowering and memorable experience. These camps are designed to build confidence and independence through exciting explorations throughout the Lower Mainland. A key part of the program is that children help plan their day trips, strengthening their decision-making skills while adding a sense of adventure and discovery.
This is not a studio-based camp. Instead, each day begins at Moody Centre SkyTrain Station, creating a real-world learning experience from the start. Children may visit a wide range of scenic and engaging destinations. Past outings have included:
This hands-on approach to exploration is what makes Resilient Kids Adventure Camp the most popular offering. It creates a dynamic space for children to learn, grow, and enjoy the outdoors.
Note: Registration for the Resilient Kids Camp may be eligible for coverage under extended health benefits when counselling by a Registered Social Worker is included in the plan.
During Professional Development Days (Pro-D Days) for School District 43 (SD43) and school breaks.
Our Movement and Mindfulness Pro-D Day Camps are led by an experienced Social Worker and Yoga Instructor, offering a balanced mix of activities that support children’s overall development. Inspired by Fred Rogers’ belief that “play is the work of children,” these camps weave movement and mindfulness into playful, meaningful experiences.
The program is designed to strengthen resilience, self-reliance, and coping skills. Movement, mindfulness, and play are integrated throughout the day through intentional activities such as:
These camps are designed not only to entertain, but also to nurture mindfulness and awareness. Through the activities, children are encouraged to notice the present moment, understand their emotions, and connect positively with peers and their surroundings.
Movement & Mindfulness Pro-D Day Camps provide a supportive environment where children can explore, learn, and grow in a holistic way, building a foundation for a balanced and mindful life.
