This trek combines Chopta, Tungnath, Chandrashila, and Deoriya Tal into a rich Himalayan journey through the Garhwal region. It offers a wonderfully varied experience, bringing together mountain trails, sacred sites, and alpine landscapes in one accessible adventure.
Available throughout the year, this trek may take you across snowy paths and into welcoming campsites set against some of the most beautiful backdrops in the Himalayas. It is an ideal way to experience the region in a compact but memorable format.
Along the route, you will visit the remarkable Deoriya Tal, an alpine lake that mirrors the surrounding peaks, as well as the Tungnath temple. At sunrise from Chandrashila, you can enjoy a sweeping 360° panorama of the Himalayan range, with Chaukhamba peak directly ahead. Views also extend toward Nanda Devi and the higher Himalayas.
