First Level: A generous studio apartment welcomes you with a luxurious king-size bed, creating a restful space for a peaceful stay.
Downstairs: A private studio offers added privacy, complete with a plush king-size bed, a full bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen.
Each unit includes a compact kitchen with an electric double burner and a refrigerator, along with plates, utensils, and cookware for a practical and easy stay. Please note that the water heater is on-demand and serves the showers only.
With a central location just minutes from restaurants, grocery stores, the airport, and the ferry dock, this stay is ideal whether you plan to explore or simply relax. If you prefer to walk into town, it takes about 15 to 20 minutes and includes some hills along the way for those who enjoy a bit of exercise.
Parking is available on the street, with open spaces typically easy to find nearby, making arrival and day-to-day convenience simple.
In support of sustainability and the island’s limited water resources, one bath towel is provided per guest. Towel exchanges are available every three days upon request, and assistance is gladly provided during your stay.
Culebra is a small island with no hotels, and we do our best to offer a thoughtful guest experience while respecting the local limitations and helping preserve the environment.
Power Outages: Puerto Rico, including Vieques and Culebra, has been experiencing intermittent power outages due to the fragile electrical grid and ongoing repairs to the main power infrastructure on the main island. Culebra receives power from Puerto Rico through underwater cables. In most cases, outages on Culebra do not last long, as the island has its own generators that activate when the main grid fails. Generators are turned on once the cause of the outage is determined, for the safety of residents.

Apartment 1 is easy to access, located just beyond the first set of stairs at Chula Vista Apartments; please note that stairs are required. Inside, you’ll find a spacious king-sized bed and a modern private bathroom, creating a comfortable setting for a restful stay.
We offer an affordable and convenient island getaway in the heart of Culebra, with the essentials provided, including fresh bath towels and bed linens. The property is also close to the Costa del Sol grocery store, the airport, and local vehicle rentals. The Ferry Dock is a short drive away, or about a 15–20 minute walk, and the town center and Flamenco Beach are also within easy reach.
During your stay, you may notice the natural wildlife that makes Culebra so distinctive. Chickens, roosters, horses, iguanas, and, in the evenings, the occasional white-tailed deer may be seen or heard nearby. Although the property is fumigated regularly, the island setting means some insects, such as mosquitoes and flies, may still be present. We recommend keeping doors closed to help avoid Palmetto Bugs, which are usually drawn to light but are not commonly found indoors.
