This intimate 3-day residential retreat is open only to those who have previously completed a 10-day PranaVidya retreat with Swami GyanDharma. It provides a rare chance to continue exploring the deeper layers of PranaVidya, with a clear emphasis on using this potent practice in the service of healing others.
With direct guidance from Swami GyanDharma, you will be introduced to subtle and transformative practices that help channel awakened pranic energy not only for personal development, but also as a means of supporting the well-being of others. The retreat explores the deeper dimensions of energy transmission, the role of intention, and the inner stillness that allows genuine healing work to unfold.
It is an invitation for sincerely committed practitioners to refine their understanding of PranaVidya, strengthen their ability to direct energy with clarity and sensitivity, and receive Swami GyanDharma’s distinctive insight and lived experience. Held in a supportive and immersive setting, the retreat creates space for practice, contemplation, and connection with others on a similar path.
Participation is limited to those who have completed a full 10-day PranaVidya training with Swami GyanDharma, ensuring a shared foundation among all attendees.
To apply, please complete a short questionnaire stating when and where you attended your 10-day PranaVidya retreat with Swami GyanDharma. This helps us confirm eligibility and prepare for your place in this next stage of the journey.
As spaces are limited in order to preserve the depth and intimacy of the experience, early booking is recommended.

At Our Unique Spiritual Sanctuary In The Heart Of Wales
Our residential retreats offer a rare opportunity to go deeper into the mysteries of yoga in one of the few authentic ashrams outside India, with experienced teachers, a supportive community, and an environment of beautiful natural surroundings and focused spiritual energy.
A Spiritual Sanctuary
As one of the few authentic ashrams outside India, we offer a living connection between the teachings of the yogic sages and sincere seekers in the modern world. Founded in 1986, the Ashram has, over the years, been a place of deep learning and transformation for thousands of people from many different backgrounds.
The Ashram is a natural sanctuary, a peaceful haven nestled in the green hills of Wales, UK.
This setting offers a quiet, safe, nurturing environment in which to explore the teachings and practices of yoga more deeply.
All our courses are guided and taught by senior teachers, who together bring nearly 100 years of yoga teaching experience.
In addition, the ashram is supported by a resident team of yogis working in the spirit of enquiry and service, many of whom are trained yoga teachers or currently in training.
Below is our standard retreat timetable, the basic format followed by most of our retreats. Please note that it may vary slightly from retreat to retreat, though rarely by much.
General Retreat Timetable

Mouna
Mouna refers to periods of silence during which we continue our yoga practice and daily life without speaking. It is an important part of ashram life.
At the ashram we observe mouna every day from 9pm until breakfast the following morning, for the first half of lunch and supper, and for longer periods during some of our courses and residential retreats.
Karma Yoga
An essential part of our retreats and ashram life more generally is karma yoga, the practice of doing work in a spirit of service and awareness. It is a vital aspect of yoga, though we often assume that work has nothing to do with yoga and overlook its transformative potential.
On a practical level, this includes work around the ashram such as gardening, cooking, housework, and maintaining the buildings - whatever is needed at the time. On a deeper level, karma yoga means being fully engaged in the task at hand while remaining in touch with our inner being.
Some visitors arrive at the Ashram for the first time after having spent time in other ashrams or spiritual communities. For others, it is a completely new experience. In either case, we recommend coming with an open mind and a willingness to make the most of your time here.
There are also some things you may wish to know about the Ashram and daily life here if you are considering attending a retreat.

While every effort is made to keep the ashram as safe as possible and to make our retreats accessible to as many people as possible, by taking part in one of our retreats you accept responsibility for your own health and safety.
Please make sure you are fit and well enough to participate in yoga practice. If necessary, you should seek medical advice before undertaking any yoga practice, including asana (physical postures), meditation, pranayama, Yoga Nidra, and related practices.
As part of the booking process, we will ask you to let us know about any physical or mental health circumstances that may be affected by the practices offered in your chosen course. We, Mandala Yoga Ashram, accept no responsibility for any injury arising from failure to follow the teacher’s instructions or from non-disclosure of medical conditions, injury, or physical impairment.
If you are in any doubt, please obtain specialist or professional advice from your doctor before participating, as we are not qualified to assess whether you are fit to safely take part in any sessions.
To reserve a place on one of our retreats, you will need to pay a non-refundable deposit at the time of booking, with the balance due before the retreat begins or on arrival.
All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Any cancellation of a course or stay booking will therefore result in the loss of the deposit paid. Cancellations can be made by phone, email or in writing. Cancellations made less than 4 weeks before the start of the course date will incur a percentage of the course costs - full details can be found under our Terms and Conditions.
We offer 3 payment options for our courses so that we can meet our costs and continue to thrive while remaining accessible. We trust visitors to choose the tier that best suits their circumstances.
Benefactor – for those with the financial means and generosity of spirit to pay a little extra for a retreat, helping support others in a less secure financial position.
Standard – the standard tier, calculated to ensure the Ashram meets its essential running costs year after year.
Supported – for those who genuinely need support in order to attend a retreat, and therefore pay a lower cost.
