A nourishing weekend to rest, reconnect, and renew your true essence and vitality in the deep natural setting of the Cardo Mountains in Tarragona, at the beautiful Nomada Retreat Centre. Group size is limited to a maximum of 7 participants.
The weekend includes two daily yoga classes, held in the early morning and evening, either in the spacious, airy sala or by the pool in the morning. Over the course of the retreat, you will explore postures more deeply through attentive listening to the body and awakening the spine, supporting greater freedom, creativity, and ease of movement. This yoga practice honours the body, where the posture itself is no longer the goal.
Deep rest meditation sessions and guided meditative walks will take place in the surrounding nature.
In Deep Rest Meditation, you lie down to meditate, allowing body and mind to unravel and revealing the natural wells of vitality that already live within you, helping to rekindle inner peace and joy.
There will also be plenty of free time to enjoy the stunning surroundings, walk through olive groves, follow paths into the nearby mountains, forests, and valleys, rest in a hammock, or take a swim in the pool.
This is a space to listen to your deepest nature and inner knowing, held within the heart of a supportive group community.
The yoga and meditation practice is suitable for everyone, with or without previous experience.
There are three accommodation options available. You may choose a Bell Tent, which is spacious and light, with a real bed, allowing you to feel close to nature, wake with the birds, and sleep beneath the stars.
The bell tents are set just a 2-minute walk from the house, with forest on one side and mountains on the other. Fully immersed in nature, you will wake to birdsong. The tents are large and airy, with high ceilings, real beds, cotton bedding, and beautiful textiles and ornaments for a cosy atmosphere.
Another option is one of the spacious, airy guest house rooms in the restored farmhouse. The two guest rooms share a large bathroom and feature original beams, comfortable beds, and soft cotton bed linen.
You may also stay in the Casita, a self-contained apartment ideal for sharing, with wonderful mountain views from the balcony. It includes its own kitchen, mezzanine, balcony, and outdoor space for relaxing. This option is for a minimum of two people sharing, with space for up to three.
Accommodation is available on either a single or shared occupancy basis, in line with COVID requirements.
You will be nourished throughout the weekend with delicious vegan and vegetarian meals prepared by resident cook and yoga teacher Kat. Her cooking is creative and inspiring, using locally sourced organic ingredients, including organic free-range goat’s cheese from a nearby small farm. Each dish is carefully prepared to be nutritionally balanced, colourful, tasty, and full of care.
If you choose to stay an extra day or two, there is much to explore in this richly diverse and historic corner of southern Catalunya. You can hike or cycle directly from the door, or venture further by car. Local highlights include the mighty Ebro River, the vineyards of Terra Alta or Priorat, the Ebro Delta, and the secluded coves of the Costa Daurada.
The retreat begins at 6.30pm on Friday 2nd October and ends with departures from 5pm on Sunday 4th October.
€280 includes all teachings (12 hours), accommodation, food, and juices, drinks, and snacks throughout your stay.
Reus Airport is 45 minutes away, Barcelona is 1 hour 45 minutes, and Valencia is 2 hours by car. Regular trains to and from Barcelona run from Mora La Nova and L’Ametlla de Mar, both 25 minutes away. The nearest village is Rasquera. Car shares and lifts can be arranged for those driving and happy to share. If travelling by train from Barcelona or Sitges to L’Ametlla de Mar, the journey from Sitges takes around 1 hour 25 minutes, followed by a taxi of approximately €20 to the retreat centre. You can be collected at the bottom of the rocky track if the taxi driver does not wish to drive up.
Due to COVID restrictions, the weekend will be limited to a maximum of 7/8 students, compared with the usual 12 the space can hold. This allows ample room in the yoga sala, and there will also be the option to practice outdoors at least once a day, most likely for the morning session.
If a national lockdown during the retreat period forces Nomada to close and prevents the retreat from taking place, guests will be offered the choice to rebook for another date or receive a full refund. Each client may decide for themselves, and the teachers’ final decision will determine whether rebooking goes ahead if some participants still wish to attend at a future date. If a lockdown prevents guests, some guests, or the teacher from attending, while Nomada is still able to remain open and receive guests, the retreat will be moved to another date, but no deposits or payments will be refunded.
To secure your booking, a 50% deposit is required. This deposit is 80% refundable up to 30 days before the retreat begins. Between 29 and 21 days before the start date, 50% is refundable. Within less than 21 days, the deposit is non-refundable.
