This Sydney Part-Time Level 1 200-hour course runs across six non-residential weekends at the peaceful Roseville Uniting Church, creating a calm environment for study and personal development.
With senior teachers Judy Krupp and Chloe Thorogood guiding the process, you’ll move through a blend of weekend studio sessions and self-paced study, allowing your learning to unfold steadily.
Accredited and based on Purna Yoga’s holistic approach, the training extends beyond asana to include breathwork, meditation, philosophy and teaching methodology, supporting both personal and professional growth.
The course fee is $4,060, including training manuals. An earlybird price from $3,760 is available for bookings made more than 8 weeks before the course begins.
To reserve your place, a $600 deposit is required. After that, you can pay by fortnightly instalments, with the remaining balance due 6 weeks before the course start date.
The program runs over six weekends, giving you time to learn, reflect and apply what you’ve studied between sessions. This structure is ideal for people with busy schedules who want a slower, more integrated training experience.

Preparation can begin up to 6 weeks before the course starts. You’ll complete approximately 30 hours of e-learning and self-study before the first weekend, including practice with a Purna Yoga Level 1 sequence, learning Sanskrit pose names, and reading selected pre-course material.

Our twin share rooms are an affordable, yet comfortable option. The rooms can be configured into two single beds. You will be sharing the cabin with one other international students of the same gender. The rooms are newly renovated with wooden floors and whitewashed walls. All rooms have air conditioning, reading lamps and a wardrobe. The communal bathrooms are a short walk away and, in line with our eco-policies, they have compost toilets, rain water showers and solar heated hot water.
Our single rooms accommodating maximum one guest and includes a single bed and a small desk. The rooms are newly renovated with wooden floors and whitewashed walls. All rooms have air conditioning, reading lamps and a wardrobe. The communal bathrooms are a short walk away and, in line with our eco-policies, they have compost toilets, rain water showers and solar heated hot water.
These comfortably sized cabins are configured with four single beds and are ideal for a relaxed, communal stay. Each cabin features a small deck that opens to a beautiful green outlook, offering a peaceful and private retreat. Inside, you'll find reading lamps, cupboards, and heaters to ensure comfort during cooler months. Shared bathrooms are unisex and are located conveniently nearby.
