Frequently Asked Questions
What do I need to organise?
You’ll need your flight to Colombo International Airport (CMB), travel insurance for the full trip, and a valid passport. Airport transfers from Colombo to the hotel will be arranged for the retreat start date, or earlier if needed.
What level of Surf experience is required?
All levels are welcome, though the conditions are best suited to beginner and intermediate surfers. The retreat is limited to 8 guests so you get optimal time in the water.
Do I need to bring my own board?
If you already surf, bringing your own board is recommended. If you need to rent, there are some boards available in-house, though renting from The Board Hut is suggested.
What is the schedule like?
The schedule depends on the surf forecast, but the mornings are generally active with pre-surf Pilates and a light snack, followed by breakfast after surfing. Lunch and downtime come later, then an afternoon stretch, Pilates, or myofascial release session, ending with a drink and group video analysis before dinner.
Is Sri Lanka safe to travel to?
In our view, yes. There are currently no travel warnings for Sri Lanka.
