The journey begins in Marrakech and continues across the Atlas Mountains to the ancient, mystical city of Ait Ben Haddou, on the way into the heart of the desert.

Throughout the retreat, Michele Averard and Tànit Navarro share their experience in the powerful fields of sound healing, voice activation, and sacred chants from different cultures around the world.

In an inspiring and spectacular setting, you are invited to connect with your own vibrational essence.

Along the way, Michele Averard and Tànit Navarro offer voice activation and sound healing sessions so you can explore your own vibration and reconnect with your essence.

FREE EXTRA: You will receive a traditional Moroccan hand drum, plus a workshop where you will learn how to paint it.

In this retreat for voice and sound healing, you will:

experience your body as an instrument,
work consciously with the diaphragm,
activate and energize your biofield and chakras through sound,
explore vocal toning and overtone singing,
discover your own healing sounds to raise your frequency,

PROGRAM

10-day retreat for voice and sound healing & desert adventure

Dates: 05.11.26 – 15.11.26 (arrival and departure days included)

Day 1: Arrival at Marrakech Airport and transfer to Riad Maison Douia. Welcome circle in the afternoon. Dinner at the riad.
Day 2: Morning visit to Marrakech and the medina. Lunch in the souk, then return to Maison Douia for an afternoon session with Michele or Tanit.
Day 3: Departure for Ksar Ait Ben Haddou via the High Atlas Mountains. Lunch en route, arrival in Ait Ben Haddou, and guided visit of the famous Monument of the Thousand Kasbahs at sunset. Overnight at Riad Paradise of Silence.
Day 4: Morning circle with Michele & Tanit. Morning Ayenza painting workshop with Afus Art. Overnight at Riad Paradise of Silence.
Day 5: Morning circle with Michele & Tanit. Departure into the Erg Chebbi desert. 4x4 transfers. Stay at Nomad Luxury Camp for 4 nights.
Day 6: Full-day session with Michele or Tanit at the desert camp. In the evening: fire, Saharawi music, and dance.
Day 7: Full day with Michele or Tanit at the desert camp. In the evening: fire, Saharawi music, and dance.
Day 8: Half-day work with Michele or Tanit at the desert camp. Free afternoon. Saharawi music and dance.
Day 9: Morning circle with Michele & Tanit. 4x4 transfer from the camp. Meet the minibus and continue to the foothills of Jebel Kissane in the Agdz market area, then overnight at Bab el Oued Ecolodge in Tamnougalt. Closing retreat ceremony with Michele & Tanit at sunset. Dinner at the riad.
Day 10: Drive to Marrakech. Lunch en route. Overnight at Riad Dar Silsila in the medina.
Day 11: Transfer to Marrakech Airport.

During the retreat, Michele and Tanit will also present a concert and a sound journey on separate evenings.

Helpful notes:

What documents do I need for the trip? A passport valid for at least 6 months from the departure date.
Do I need travel insurance? We recommend that each person arrange travel insurance for possible medical costs.
What currency is used in Morocco? The currency is the Moroccan dirham.
Should I bring cash? At the airport, you can exchange euros into dirhams. For shops, restaurants, and markets, we recommend cash, as credit and debit cards are usually not accepted there.

Michele Averard

Michele Averard is Co-Director and Co-Founder of the International Association of Sound Healing – Sounds That Heal®. She is an internationally recognized sound healer, workshop leader, singer, multi-instrumentalist, and author of Free Your Voice, Heal Your Life.

Since 1994, she has taught courses, workshops, and lectures on the healing power of sound, especially the voice. Together with her husband, Nestor Kornblum, she has created and released more than 10 healing music CDs. Michele has been interviewed and featured on television and radio in several countries and has written articles for magazines and other publications.

Over the past 27 years, she has also led courses specifically for women, often focused on celebrating femininity and healing childhood wounds and limitations through different sound techniques. She has also worked with children, supporting them in developing sound awareness, basic energy work, and musical improvisation.

She has taken part in many musical projects and founded the women’s choir “The Voices of Gaia” 12 years ago, which she still directs today.

Tànit Navarro

Voice therapist · Singer-songwriter · Musician

Tànit Navarro has dedicated more than 20 years to the world of voice, creative expression, and self-exploration. Her path led her through theater, world music, and vocal improvisation to the development of two voice methods: Voz Esencial and MamaCanta, which she teaches in Spain, Portugal, and Latin America.

Tanit has independently produced three CDs/albums: Iandé (2011), Nueve Lunas (2013), dedicated to motherhood, and Saliendo de la Cueva, produced by Luis Paniagua (2016).
