Yoga can help regular hikers move with greater ease, awareness, and alignment on the trail. At the same time, hiking supports yogis with improved lung capacity and overall fitness, especially for those whose mat practice is less aerobic.
It also offers a meaningful kind of holistic multitasking: the chance to enjoy nature while deepening your yoga practice. Yoga hiking is a lively, social way to experience cardio-based yoga while exploring the outdoors.
To join this course, you may arrive at the studio by nightfall the day before. Dinner will be served, and you will settle into your room. After tea, the hike begins toward a viewpoint and may take around 3 hours. Once the hike is complete, you will stop for a yoga class. The morning yoga session lasts 90 minutes, followed by breakfast.
Afterward, there is 1 hour of free time before the hike back to the center. Once you return to the studio, you may also join an Ayurvedic massage at an additional cost.
The next part of the program includes lunch and then 2 hours of rest. Tea is served around 4 pm, after which the evening yoga class begins. This 90-minute session may include stretching, static postures, and flowing sequences. Later, you will have dinner, followed by Trataka (blink-less gazing meditation), and then bedtime.
You may depart after breakfast the following morning.
