Looking for an affordable and restorative retreat with yoga and more? This three-week immersion is designed to support meaningful change on the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels through a complete approach to practice and daily living.
From soft birdsong and the rustle of green leaves to sunrise, sunset, mountain views, lake panoramas, lush landscapes, glowing stars, and moonrise, every moment is meant to feel harmonious and deeply connected within the Shree yoga retreat family.
This program is ideal for anyone who wants to build a steady home practice and cultivate a healthy, nourishing, and revitalizing yogic lifestyle.
During the first seven days, you will follow regular yoga and meditation practices, along with basic pranayama and breathing exercises. By the end of the week, you will begin to develop greater self-observation.
Morning activities include meditation, a nature walk, nasal cleansing, pranayama, reflexology, a hatha yoga session, steam bath or mud bath, Ayurvedic massage, and breakfast.
Later in the day, you will take part in guided healing meditation, lunch, karma yoga, chanting or dancing, hatha yoga flow, dinner, and candlelight meditation.
This week brings a slightly more intense yoga practice to support physical and mental stability, including advanced pranayama. On the final day, the group travels to one of the beautiful villages in mid Nepal to spend two days living and integrating yoga into rural life.
After returning from the village, you will begin an internal cleansing process in the yogic tradition called Shankhaprakshalana. The first three days include normal yoga practice, apple fasting, and on the fourth day, flushing. There is no physical exercise after the flushing day.
The first three days of this week follow normal yoga and meditation with regular food, and the fasting begins on the fourth day.
During the fast, you may drink diluted juices, herbal teas, and vegetable broths. The process also includes abdominal massage, breathing exercises to release tension in the diaphragm area, and plenty of support, relaxation, and care.
The fasting schedule is as follows, while continuing normal yoga and meditation:
Day 1: 6 apples and enough herbal drink.
Day 2: 3 apples and enough herbal drink.
Day 3: no meal, only enough herbal drinks to prepare the body and mind for flushing.
The next morning, you will join the flushing practice. You will drink lukewarm water and perform specific yoga postures dynamically to help expel toxic matter from the system. Afterward, you will receive yogic food, khichadi, 45 minutes later. The entire day is reserved for rest, and you may eat khichadi whenever you feel hungry.
You may leave after breakfast the following day, or extend your stay to continue relaxing.
