Known for its variety, the route offers changing scenery, rich cultural encounters, and dramatic elevation gain. Along the way, you’ll enjoy sweeping views of the Annapurna range, glaciers, diverse flora and fauna, and the remarkable Tilicho Lake at 4,920 meters, considered the world’s highest-elevation lake. Other highlights include Ice Lake at 4,600 meters, rhododendron forests, and the iconic Thorong La Pass at 5,416 meters, all experienced at a pace supported by your guide.
Beyond the natural beauty, this trek also reveals the cultural depth of the region. You will pass through the Manang Valley and the Tibetan-influenced landscapes of Mustang, visit the sacred Muktinath Temple, and meet Gurung communities known for their warm hospitality and delicious Nepali Thali. The journey ends in Tatopani, where natural hot springs offer a restorative pause before continuing toward Poon Hill and Pokhara.
Itinerary for Annapurna Circuit trekking:
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Airport pickup and hotel transfer. In the evening, attend a pre-trek briefing with your guide.
Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Bhulbhule
Travel via Dumre and Besisahar to Bhulbhule. Evening yoga, dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 3: Trek to Chamje from Bhulbhule
Morning yoga and breathwork before trekking through suspension bridges, villages, and forests to Chamje.
Day 4: Trek to Bagarchhap from Chamje
Continue along the Marsyangdi River through bamboo and rhododendron forests to Bagarchhap.
Day 5: Trek to Chame from Bagarchhap
Pass Danaque and a Tamang village before reaching Chame, the administrative center of Manang.
Day 6: Trek to Pisang from Chame
Walk through orchards, forests, and villages before arriving in Pisang.
Day 7: Trek to Manang from Pisang
Enjoy views of Tilicho Peak, Braga Monastery, and the wide Himalayan panorama before reaching Manang.
Day 8: Acclimatization day at Manang
Rest and short hikes, with optional visits to Ice Lake, Praken Gompa, or Gangapurna Lake.
Day 9: Trek to ShreeKharka from Manang
Walk through Khangsar village and pine forest to Shree Kharka.
Day 10: Trek to Tilicho Base Camp from ShreeKharka
Follow the trail through landslide terrain to reach base camp.
Day 11: Visit Tilicho Lake and return to ShreeKharka
Early hike to Tilicho Lake, then descend back to the lodge and continue to Shree Kharka.
Day 12: Trek to Yak Kharka from ShreeKharka
Ascend gradually through Gunsang village toward the Thorong La region.
Day 13: Trek to Thorong Phedi from Yak Kharka
Continue to the base of Thorong La Pass for an early night.
Day 14: Trek to Muktinath via Thorong La Pass
Begin before dawn and cross the pass before descending to Muktinath.
Day 15: Trek to Jomsom from Muktinath
Descend through the Kali Gandaki Valley and Kagbeni.
Day 16: Drive to Tatopani from Jomsom
Travel past Chokhopani with Himalayan views en route to Tatopani.
Day 17: Trek to Ghorepani from Tatopani
Climb through terraced fields and rhododendron forest to Ghorepani.
Day 18: Trek to Poon Hill and Tikhedhunga
Watch sunrise over Annapurna and Dhaulagiri, then descend to Tikhedhunga.
Day 19: Trek to Nayapul then drive to Pokhara
Finish the trek with a descent to Nayapul and transfer to Pokhara.
Day 20: Departure
Return to Kathmandu by road or flight, or plan additional activities.

Best time to do the trek: The most favorable seasons are pre-monsoon (March to May) and post-monsoon (September to November), when weather conditions are generally stable and mountain views are clearest.
Packing tips: Dress in layers, bring waterproof and windproof outerwear, pack warm accessories for cold nights, use a waterproof backpack cover, and wear sturdy trekking boots that are well broken in before departure.
