Mrtvica Canyon lies 35 km from Kolašin, on the road toward Podgorica, in the village of Međuriječje. Hidden below Mount Maganik and stretching for about 9 km, it is a true treasure of untouched nature and one of the most beautiful canyons of the former Yugoslavia.
The small Mrtvica River rises on Trebješ Mountain and, after a 15 km course, descends into the Međuriječje area before joining the Morača, the largest river in Montenegro.
