Step away from your phone, log off the internet, and arrive for a restorative retreat designed to help you slow down, refresh, and reconnect with yourself. Settle into the peaceful atmosphere of our Center as you leave daily pressures behind and make space for rest, reflection, and practice.
You are welcome to speak with one of our Senior Teachers about your personal retreat intentions, or shape the experience in a way that suits you best—whether that means quiet contemplation, a few extra days at the beginning or end of a program, or focused work on a particular practice. Begin your mornings with salutations and meditation, then allow the day to unfold naturally: meditate in Milarepa Hall*, in the privacy of your room, or on a rock outdoors. Spend time in the library, hike our 90-acre campus, watch the stars from the fire pit, and let yourself restore.
We encourage you to join the Center’s daily morning salutations and meditation, along with our Tuesday Night Group Meditation. Please note that a ticket is required for any ticketed teachings, programs, or other events.
We offer a 10% discount for week-long bookings of 7 nights or more. For stays of 14 nights or longer, the discount is 20%. Please write to us for the applicable discount code, which you can enter during checkout.
Planning to return for multiple weekends throughout the year? Register for our Personal Retreat Package and receive your fourth weekend retreat free.
Partial scholarships are available for this program. Please apply here.
Personal Retreats can usually be accommodated even when other programs are taking place. Please keep in mind that programs have priority in the use of public spaces, including the Meditation Hall, the library, and the outdoor Practice Pavilion, which may make them less available for individual meditation at times. That said, it is very rare for a program to use more than one space at once. In addition, we offer a smaller Meditation Room reserved exclusively for those on personal retreat, many meditation spots along our trails, and every bedroom is set up for practice with a zafu, zabaton, and shrine table.
If the dates you would like do not appear available, please email us; occasionally a program has reserved rooms that are ultimately not in use.
*Use of Milarepa Hall and other places on campus may be limited if there is a concurrent program or retreat.
