Movement, qigong, and meditation with Scott Davis come together in a restorative week designed to help you slow down, reconnect, and begin again. This retreat offers space to move, play, heal, breathe, relax, recharge, and recalibrate your whole system.
Each day includes 2–3 classes with ocean views, beginning with a more active morning practice that blends meditation, qigong, and movement exploration. Later in the day, a restorative session invites deeper ease and release. Between practices, there’s time to enjoy the retreat’s fresh local cuisine, swim in the ocean or pool, walk along the beach or jungle trails, or simply settle into the natural rhythm of the place.
The sessions are designed to meet you exactly where you are, using balanced movement and yoga for the full body as a way to support recalibration and compassionate self-inquiry. Gentle meditation instruction and periods of silent sitting will also be woven throughout the week.
There will be plenty of free time to explore the surrounding nature, visit the local village, or take part in one of the nearby excursions, including a visit to the organic farm that grows the food served at the retreat. Guests may also use the gym, unwind in one of the hot tubs, book a healing treatment at the spa, rest in a hammock, or enjoy a siesta in their room.
Scott Davis
Scott Davis has spent three decades sharing his passion for health as a movement teacher, acupuncturist, practitioner of Eastern Medicine, and health educator. He brings together therapeutic traditions, modern health approaches, and current research in biomechanics and human movement, making complex ideas clear, accessible, and practical, with a balance of authenticity, humour, and depth. His love of practice began early, when his parents introduced him to meditation as a child. A six-month trip to India in his late teens led to two decades of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga, and his practice has continued to evolve ever since. It has been shaped by the alignment and precision of Iyengar yoga, enriched by qigong and breathwork, softened by restorative and yin yoga, and expanded over the past decade through mobility work, functional movement, and strength training. Together, these influences have formed a comprehensive movement practice rooted in core yogic principles. When he is not teaching or treating patients in his clinic, Scott enjoys exploring movement in all its forms, travelling, playing in nature, and spending time with his family.
