Hiking through ‘wild beauty’ of Montenegro mountains

Yet what Bjelasica is best known for are its fairytale lakes.

You will take a walk around Hrid Lake, also called the “Lake of Happiness.” Why this name? According to local belief, swimming in the lake brings health and happiness in marriage. It is also said that if you make a wish and place a piece of jewelry in the lake, your wish will come true. Through the clear water, you can still see many rings, bracelets and chains left by visitors over the years at the bottom of this beautiful lake.

To conclude the package, you will hike through Mrtvica Canyon, hidden beneath Mount Maganik. Stretching for about 9 km, it is a true jewel of untouched nature and one of the most beautiful canyons of the former Yugoslavia.
