Summer Retreat 2026 | Iyengar Yoga, Hatha–Kriya & Tantra Yoga with Pablo Ferrero

Step into a transformative summer experience guided by Pablo Ferrero, director of Matrika Yoga, together with a team of instructors trained under his guidance. This retreat is offered in two duration options: July 7–12, 2026 (five nights / six days) or July 9–12, 2026 (three nights / four days). Both formats will take place at Hospedería del Silencio, a peaceful setting in La Vera, in the Sierra de Gredos, Extremadura, Spain.

Our school is rooted in Traditional Kashmiri Shaivism and Tibetan Buddhism, while being presented through a contemporary lens. Guided visualizations and group dynamics are used to support self-inquiry. We are a non-dogmatic school, open to practitioners from all spiritual traditions who wish to explore and experience the way we share. We are not aiming for a specific outcome; instead, you are invited to arrive exactly as you are. These retreats offer a safe, nourishing space to simply observe yourself, deepen your yoga practice, meditate, and connect with the present moment.

Program Highlights:

• Daily Yoga Classes: Two 1.5-hour sessions each day, combining Iyengar, Hatha, and Tantra yoga techniques.
• Sacred Meditations: Practices inspired by classical tantric texts such as the Vijñana Bhairava Tantra.
• Outdoor Practice: Exercises designed to center attention and foster a deep connection with nature.
• Philosophy and Cosmology: An exploration of Kashmiri Shaivism and the energetic system of Hatha Yoga and Tantra.
• Tandava and Energy Points: We will explore Shiva’s dance, Kundalini energy, and its relationship to energetic healing.
• Shiva-Shakti Dynamics: Insight into interdependence within relationships.
• Meditative Arts and Ecstatic Practices: Free movement, vocal work, and somatic release.

About the Lead Facilitator:

Pablo Ferrero is a certified Iyengar yoga instructor and holds diplomas in Yogic Studies from the University of Pune and Bihar School of Yoga. He is also trained in osteopathy, Ayurvedic massage, and nutrition, and is an advanced student of Ayurvedic Medicine, offering consultations in Madrid and Sierra Oeste. His extensive background includes Ayurvedic Medicine, Tibetan Buddhism, Kashmiri Shaivism, Reiki, and Eastern philosophies. He has studied with renowned teachers such as Amit Raina, Christian Pisano, Bettina Baumer, and Mark Dyczkowski, and has spent years practicing in India and Nepal. With a degree in Journalism and further studies in Psychology, Pablo brings rare depth and clarity to his teaching.

Setting and Atmosphere:

Our summer retreats are held at Hospedería del Silencio and Casa Rural El Pagano, two serene places surrounded by nature. Their nourishing food, quiet landscapes, and peaceful atmosphere invite deep rest and relaxation. Here, there is nothing to do; and in that stillness, beauty reveals itself, allowing us to surrender to the play of life.

Language: The retreat will be held in Spanish with English translation.
