Hatha Yogashram is a non-profit organization that sets standards for yoga teacher training and certifies teachers who meet them. This certification can validate your expertise, strengthen your credibility, and expand your opportunities in yoga schools, studios, and other yoga-related settings worldwide.
FOOD AND ACCOMMODATION
At Hatha Yogashram, the goal is to support a safe, disease-free environment for every student.
Food
The school follows a sattvic diet, a traditional yogic way of eating prepared without garlic or onions. This approach is intended to support emotional balance and a focused yoga journey. A class on sattvic food preparation is also included. Meals offered are breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drinks, with vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other dietary requirements available on request.
Accommodation
Located in Rishikesh, the gateway to the Himalayas, the school offers a simple and comfortable stay surrounded by nature. Accommodation options include private rooms and shared rooms, each with a separate balcony and mountain view. Air conditioner and room heater are available at additional cost.
PREREQUISITES
Strong self-motivation is essential, as both yoga practice and teaching require discipline and purity. Students must attend all spiritual activities, meditation sessions, lectures, and asana classes.
During the course, meat, fish, eggs, black tea, coffee, alcohol, tobacco, drugs, and nudity are not permitted. Students who do not follow the school rules may be dismissed from the course.
RULES FOR STUDENTS
Smoking and alcohol are strictly prohibited. If you are fasting on any day, you must inform the kitchen manager to avoid food waste. Students are expected to remain disciplined, respect the teachers, and arrive on time, as late arrival will not be allowed in class.
All accounts must be settled before departure, and any borrowed books, maps, or other items must be returned. Accommodation is provided only for enrolled students; friends and relatives are not included, though they may stay by renting another room. Full attendance is required for all scheduled programs.
REFUND POLICY
The advance course fee is non-refundable. In case of an emergency, students may join on another schedule.
If a student cancels after joining, cancellation is accepted, but the course fee will not be refunded. There is no cancellation charge.
