Open ayahuasca retreats with Psychonauta Foundation
For those who are drawn to our work but are not yet ready for a longer commitment, or for the sacrifices and restrictions that come with plant dietas, we offer open retreats at our new branch, located deeper in the forest near our center, known as Psychonauta Tribe.
This is a space where the emphasis is placed on the relational side of healing and growth, rather than on individual self-improvement or focusing only on “my big problem.” Here, we open ourselves to the beauty of connection itself, exploring what we share with others, including our burdens, and how we can support one another instead of always seeking help only for ourselves. Above all, it is about simply being together in experience, something that is often missing in the modern world.
These events are also designed for people who want to experience ayahuasca in the jungle with us, but are unsure whether they can meet the strict and non-negotiable level of seclusion and austerity required for a properly guided plant dieta. Here, everyone can choose according to their level of commitment and intention.
Over 7 days, you may take part in 3 ayahuasca ceremonies for a total cost of USD 950, including accommodation in a double room house.
Groups are smaller here, and the standard is slightly higher than in a master plant dieta. Please note that if you would like to reserve a private house, there is an additional fee of USD 100.
If you wish to stay longer, you can join two or more retreats in a row for a total of 14, 21, or 28 days. Ask us about possible discounts for longer stays, families, or guests in difficult financial situations.
Throughout the retreat, you are welcome to socialize with others. We offer daily sharing circles to process what has unfolded and listen to your stories. Private consultations are also available. There will be plenty of music, fresh food, including items not served in the stricter dieta, such as fruit. Wi-Fi is available, along with solar power for charging your devices if you need to stay connected to the outside world.
This is intended to feel like a family gathering, which means children are welcome too. At the same time, we build the content together, so do not expect a rigid tourist-style schedule such as “it is 10 a.m., so yoga is on the program.” Want yoga? We have an instructor on site, and you can gather and practice. Prefer to relax in a hammock and read a book instead? That is perfectly fine too. There is no pressure from either side. We can explore the vast forest surrounding us for miles, or take a river trip in search of pink dolphins — there are many possibilities.
Psychonauta Tribe is where tradition meets experimentation. It is a place for celebration, dancing, fire at the end of each ceremony, watermelon when you come down from the ayahuasca journey, and playful moments with local children in the morning.
Places are very limited, so do not wait too long. We are available to help if you need guidance on which type of retreat is right for you, so please feel free to ask.
Reservations are made by email.
Longer stays in the jungle are possible, including trying other plants and even personalized retreats for your group or family.
