These 7- and 14-day open retreats offer a welcoming way to experience ayahuasca in a family-friendly setting. They are designed for people who are curious about this work, but not yet ready to commit to a longer stay or to the more demanding solitude and restrictions of a master plant dieta.
Held at the new Psychonauta Tribe branch, these social retreats place emphasis on connection, shared experience, and relational healing. Rather than focusing only on individual problems, the intention is to create space for people to be together, support one another, and notice what emerges through community. It is a setting where healing is explored not only through inner work, but also through presence, exchange, and mutual care.
For guests who want to experience ayahuasca in a jungle environment, but are unsure whether they are prepared for the strict discipline of a dieta, this retreat offers a gentler path. You can choose the format that best matches your intention and level of commitment.
The 7-day retreat includes 3 ayahuasca ceremonies and costs USD 950, with accommodation in a shared jungle house included. Small groups of fewer than 10 participants help maintain a more personal atmosphere. If you would like a private house, there is a USD 100 surcharge.
Guests may also extend their stay by booking retreats back to back. Longer options can total 14, 21, or 28 days. Discounts may be available for longer stays, families, or guests facing financial difficulty.
Throughout the retreat, social interaction is encouraged. Daily sharing circles offer space to reflect on the ceremonies, process experiences, and listen to one another. The atmosphere is lively and nourishing, with music, fresh food, and fruits included, along with access to wifi and solar-powered charging for devices if needed.
This is intended as a family gathering, so children are welcome as well. The program is not a rigid tourist itinerary; instead, it leaves room for rest, integration, and natural flow. Ayahuasca ceremonies can be intense, and time afterward is important. Some guests may choose to explore, while others may prefer to relax in a hammock with a book. There are also opportunities to explore the forest behind the center or take a river trip in search of pink dolphins.
Psychonauta Tribe brings together tradition and experimentation. It is a place for ceremony, celebration, dance, and fire at the end of each session, as well as simple, grounded moments like watermelon after the ayahuasca journey and playing with local children in the morning.
Places are very limited, so early inquiry is recommended. Guidance is available if you need help deciding which retreat format is right for you.
