The retreat is hosted at the serene Center for Bharathiya Dharmic and Cultural Studies in Tiruvannamalai, at the foot of the sacred mountain Arunachala.

To preserve the atmosphere of the ashram, alcohol, tobacco, and drugs are strictly forbidden. Participants are asked not to leave the ashram independently during the retreat. According to local tradition, clothing colours are orange and white. Women are asked to dress in Indian style, covering the knees, shoulders, and décolleté.
