3 Day / 2 Night Retreat Includes:
Amenities Beyond Your Daily Treatment Schedule
The program opens with an orientation and lecture on the first evening and ends with lunch on the final day. Alongside your daily treatment schedule, you will also have access to:
Conscious Simplicity
At the Himalayan Institute, simplicity is part of the experience in everything from the environment to the approach to yoga. With fewer distractions, there is more room to strengthen the inner self and settle the mind. Rooted in authenticity and philosophy rather than ornamentation, the setting supports meaningful personal growth.
Treat Yourself
On Saturday and Sunday mornings, the Himalayan Café serves the Institute’s signature chai, coffee, and homemade cookies and treats. The 24/7 Tea Lounge offers a selection of herbal teas at any time. Daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the MOKA Origins Factory features handcrafted, ethically sourced chocolate and coffee, with free tours and tastings on Saturdays.
Sacred Space
The Sri Vidya Shrine is the spiritual center of the Himalayan Institute. This sanctuary is a peaceful place for silent meditation and group spiritual practice, both central to the Himalayan Tradition for thousands of years. Open to seekers of all backgrounds, it offers a serene setting for meditation, quiet reflection, prayer, and contemplation.
Nourishing Meals
Thoughtfully prepared vegetarian meals are designed to nourish body, mind, and spirit. Each of the three daily meals is easy to digest and aligned with a meditative lifestyle. Sharing meals together also encourages connection, creating both deep nourishment and a sense of community.
Loving Community
The Himalayan Institute welcomes guests from all walks of life. With short-term visitors, long-term residents, and a vibrant community living on campus, the atmosphere is warm, generous, and service-oriented. Friendships often form naturally here, growing into lasting bonds that can feel like family.
Rest in Nature
Set in the rolling hills of the Poconos, the 400-acre campus offers sweeping views, scenic hiking trails, and quiet places for reflection. Walking is a favorite way to enjoy the grounds, whether on groomed trails or along paved roads, inviting both movement and mindful presence in nature.
