Have you long felt called to become a yoga teacher? Or perhaps you sense that yoga is part of your path, even if you are not ready to teach yet. You may simply want to deepen your practice, or you may already be teaching and wish to expand your understanding.
Who is this YTT for?
This hybrid yoga teacher training is created for students who want depth, flexibility, and meaningful integration.
Instead of stepping away from your life for three full weeks, you begin from home and then complete the training with an immersive in-person experience in Bali.
For three months, you will join live online study via Zoom and build a strong foundation in yoga philosophy, anatomy, teaching methodology, and personal practice. Then, you will come together in Bali for ten transformational days to embody the work, practice teach, and fully integrate what you have learned.
This training is ideal if you:
This is more than a training; it is a journey that meets you where you are and supports your life as it is, while inviting you into a deeper, more embodied understanding of yoga.
What You’ll Learn
This hybrid 200-hour YTT combines asana, anatomy, philosophy, meditation, and pranayama so you graduate with a broad understanding of yoga beyond the poses. You will also develop practical teaching skills, including sequencing, cueing, adjustments, and space-holding, through hands-on practice and personalized feedback in a small-group setting. Rooted in the Yoga Sutras and authentic philosophy, the curriculum is designed to support transformation, confidence, and the ability to share yoga anywhere in the world.

Accommodation is not included, giving you the flexibility to choose what suits you best. We recommend Emana Akatara, the hotel next door to Mindful Bali and about a one-minute walk from the yoga shala. This highly rated hotel offers daily breakfast, a restaurant, and an infinity pool. You may book a single room or connect with another student to share a twin room and save money. For a three-week stay, prices typically range from $1400 to $2000 USD, depending on the season. We recommend booking well in advance. You can also choose other accommodation in Ubud, including homestays, guest houses, and villas within walking or driving distance.

Meet the Teaching Team
Alexandra
Alexandra is the Lead Teacher at Mindful Bali. She has been teaching yoga since 2014 and has lived in Bali, Indonesia since 2021. Originally from Canada, she studied for a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education and began her teaching career in the Middle East at international private schools. After first arriving in Bali in 2017, she felt an immediate sense of home. In 2019, after quitting drinking alcohol, she began fully directing her energy toward yoga and her move to Bali. Within two years, she had built her online yoga community, The Mindful Life Practice, enough to leave her job and move to Bali to begin hosting retreats and yoga teacher trainings. She later created her own yoga shala, Mindful Bali, in her home in Pejeng.
Marlen
Marlen is an experienced anatomy educator and yoga teacher with nearly a decade of teaching and YTT-trainer experience. She leads anatomy modules in 200-hour and 300-hour trainings, as well as Yin Yoga and TCM programs, and continues to update her knowledge through research in fascia, biomechanics, and nervous system science.

ID is a Balinese yoga teacher who teaches yin, pranayama, and hatha flow, and also guides students in mala bead necklace creation. She teaches at studios throughout Bali and on retreats and trainings.

Guest teachers also join the training with classes in kundalini, sound healing, hypnotherapy, and more. At times, Alexandra also invites visiting YTT graduates to teach, giving students a wide range of perspectives throughout the program.
What Our Graduates Say
Emma Kearney, UK
I found Alex and her classes by “chance” and I have to honestly say I’ve never been made to feel more welcome and instantly part of the community without being overwhelmed. No cliquey or elitist feel here unlike other Ubud places I’ve visited for yoga. The classes themselves are excellent, Alex is a natural at teaching yoga. Plus a great location and first rate facilities.
