Unlocking deeper spiritual insight through authentic Amazonian and Andean rituals
Join a transformative 5-day Ayahuasca retreat guided by a true Shipibo shaman from the Amazon. This private experience also brings you into the heart of Andean tradition through a Coca Leaf Reading and Cleansing Ceremony led by a shaman from the Q'eros community. A heart-opening yoga session adds another layer of balance and presence to this powerful journey through ancient practices.
Please note: this private retreat must be booked at least one month in advance, so there is enough time to arrange everything with our Amazonian shaman.
Day 1: Cusco – Oracle Reading – Ayahuasca Ceremony
We will collect you from your hotel and travel to our retreat center in the Sacred Valley. After some time to settle in and explore, you will meet the Andean and Amazonian Maestros from Q'eros and Pucallpa for the opening gathering. The day begins with a special Coca Leaf reading ceremony to prepare you for the Ayahuasca ceremony later on. In the afternoon, a cleansing and flourishing ceremony helps release negative energy or spiritual blockages that may be affecting your well-being or inner growth. After a short meditation, the Ayahuasca session begins and lasts 4 to 6 hours. Throughout the ceremony, our professional team offers attentive care and expert guidance, so you can feel supported, comfortable, and safe. Afterward, you will rest and recover.
Day 2: Guidance with Maestro – 2nd Ayahuasca Ceremony
After a light breakfast of fresh fruit, you will meet again with the Maestro. This time is dedicated to conversation and the interpretation of visions, helping you deepen your relationship with the Ayahuasca plant medicine.
In the afternoon, you may enjoy a gentle walk in the area and connect with the natural beauty of Mother Earth. Before the ceremony, we will gather for meditation to help center the body and mind.
Later, we return to the ceremony room for the second Ayahuasca session, following a similar format to the first night.
Day 3: Relaxation Day – Yoga Session
After breakfast, we will have an in-depth conversation with our Maestro about the previous ceremony. The rest of the day is set aside for relaxation and meditation. There is no Ayahuasca ceremony today. After lunch, you may choose between a scenic walk through the Andean mountains or quiet time at the retreat center for reflection. Later, our yoga teacher will lead a tailored yoga session designed especially for you. After dinner, we rest.
Day 4: Third Ayahuasca Ceremony
After breakfast, the retreat continues with a morning walk guided by our Maestro to a peaceful place for teachings and connection with the surroundings. We then return to the retreat center to rest and recharge. In the evening, we gather for the third and final Ayahuasca session, offering a profound space for introspection and transformation.
Day 5: Mother Earth Offering – Cusco
After breakfast, you will have your final meeting with the Maestro. This integration ceremony is a time to discuss the previous experience and receive interpretations. We then take part in a ceremonial offering to Mother Earth, led by the Qero Master, as a gesture of gratitude for the retreat and its ceremonies. Finally, we return to Cusco.

What is Ayahuasca?
Ayahuasca is a traditional Amazonian brew known for its deep healing qualities. Made from the Psychotria viridis plant and the Banisteriopsis caapi vine, it has long been used in indigenous rituals. In guided ceremonies, it is believed to support self-discovery, emotional healing, and personal growth.
What can I expect during an Ayahuasca ceremony?
An Ayahuasca ceremony is often experienced as an inward journey. It may bring vivid visions, deep reflection, and a range of personal experiences—some participants find clarity, while others face challenges that lead to greater insight. Traditional music and icaros from Amazonian shamans help create a meaningful atmosphere. Andean ceremonies such as coca leaf reading and offerings to express gratitude further support the spiritual setting.
Is Ayahuasca safe?
Yes, when guided by experienced facilitators, Ayahuasca can be experienced in a secure and supportive environment. A medical form helps us understand your needs in advance, and our on-site medical team is present to respond to any concerns during the ceremony.
Are there any medical considerations or contraindications?
Yes. If you have heart conditions, psychiatric disorders, or take medications, caution is important. Some medicines may not be compatible with Ayahuasca, which is why we ask all participants to complete a medical form before joining.
How should I prepare for an Ayahuasca ceremony?
You should be in Cusco at least three days before the retreat begins so your body can adjust to the altitude. Arriving on the same day as the retreat is not allowed, as it may increase the risk of altitude sickness.
Is there a specific diet required before the Ayahuasca ceremony?
Yes. Two weeks before the retreat, avoid pork, alcohol, cannabis, drugs, and spicy foods. One week before, avoid red meat, junk food, sweets, soda, dairy, pickled foods, and caffeine. In the final three days, reduce salt, pepper, and oil. The first ceremony takes place in the evening, so a light breakfast is recommended, along with water and tea throughout the day.
How can I spiritually prepare myself and cultivate the right mindset for the Ayahuasca ceremony?
Setting a clear intention can be very helpful. Take time to reflect on what draws you to Ayahuasca and what you hope to understand or heal. Many shamans also recommend mindfulness practices before the retreat, and some suggest refraining from sexual activity, including masturbation, to conserve energy.
What is the "purge" during Ayahuasca ceremonies?
The purge may involve vomiting or diarrhea and is often viewed as a cleansing process that releases physical and emotional toxins.
Can Ayahuasca be addictive?
Ayahuasca is not known to be physically addictive.
Is Ayahuasca legal in Peru?
Yes. Ayahuasca is legal in Peru and is recognized as cultural heritage and traditional medicine.
