From insight to embodied transformation, this 11-day retreat unfolds in Colombia from July 8–18, 2026. It can also open on demand once a minimum of 3 participants is confirmed.
Designed for those who want to explore what lies beneath the surface in a safe, trauma-informed, and genuinely supportive environment, this journey combines sacred yagé (ayahuasca) ceremony, somatic practices, and a close-knit community that holds you with care. By the end, you may feel more grounded in your body, clearer in your heart, and more connected to something greater than yourself.
This is a small-group experience with only 6 participants, allowing for deep presence, individual attention, and a carefully held container. It is not about chasing a peak moment or a quick fix. It is about integration, honest self-meeting, and the kind of transformation that happens when spirit and body are welcomed together.
The retreat begins with a hike into the lush Colombian mountains, leaving the noise of everyday life behind. You’ll arrive at a handcrafted retreat center built from natural materials, where the atmosphere invites listening—to tradition, to Spirit, and to yourself. From the first day, somatic practices help you ground, connect with the group, and prepare the body for ceremony.
Throughout the journey, you’ll receive private time with the facilitators, somatic tools for regulation, group processes, journaling, and immersion in nature. Ceremonies are guided by an Indigenous Taita, a respected shaman from a lineage of ancestral wisdom, who remains present throughout the entire retreat. The yagé used in ceremony is lovingly prepared from plants grown on the land itself.
Ayahuasca, known in Colombia as yagé, may open the door to visions, emotional release, spiritual insight, or quiet clarity. Every experience is different, and every response is welcomed. The retreat also includes Kambó ceremonies, medicine music, plant baths, mindful walks, sharing circles, art therapy, and two day trips into powerful natural settings.
The retreat takes place at Fuente Alegre, a family-led sanctuary in the emerald mountains of Cocorná, just two hours from Medellín. Reaching it involves a scenic 7–10 minute walk along a trail, marking a gentle transition into a sacred space.
The center includes an open-air ceremonial and movement platform with panoramic mountain views, a nearby river, a stone-lined plunge pool, and simple, cozy rooms and cabins made from earth and bamboo. The setting is intimate, natural, and intentionally unpolished, with comfort, beauty, and simplicity woven throughout.
This retreat is for people who feel emotionally overwhelmed or shut down, are moving through life transitions, carry pain or trauma in the body, or long for a deeper spiritual connection. It is also for those who are ready to be held, rather than always holding others.
It is not a fit for those seeking luxury, strict isolation from family life, or a highly structured adult-only environment. Participation is always respected, and you are never required to join anything that does not feel right in the moment.
The retreat is guided by Taita Libardo Matapí Yucuna, Lara Grofils, Diego Colot Duque, and Árbol. Together, they bring ancestral knowledge, somatic care, grounded support, and deep respect for the traditions and the land.
