Would you like to deepen your practice of the first series of Ashtanga Yoga and begin the second series with more ease and confidence?
Then this is the right setting for you. Step away from daily routines and enjoy six days devoted entirely to yourself, surrounded by a beautiful natural environment, a small group of no more than 12 participants, and nourishing soul food.
Each morning begins in connection with nature, with meditation and breathwork. After that, we move into Mysore-style practice or guided count classes, supporting the development of strength, flexibility, and a calm mind.
On four evenings, two-hour themed workshops create space for deeper exploration and plenty of time for questions.
This retreat location offers the ideal atmosphere to rest both body and mind and settle fully into the present moment.
We look forward to welcoming you.
Silke has been practicing Ashtanga Yoga for 23 years. Over time, she has become increasingly aware that beyond technique and alignment, the nervous system plays a central role. In simple terms, yoga can only unfold well in an environment where we feel at ease. When that happens, the body can soften and release, new movement and behavior patterns may emerge, and the mind can settle.
Whether in her home yoga studio in Düsseldorf or at a retreat, her priority is always that guests feel comfortable.
Mike has been practicing Ashtanga Yoga for 5 years and completed 500-hour Ashtanga Yoga training in September 2023.
Silke is happy to have him assisting during the week, where his positive nature will surely contribute to everyone’s wellbeing.
The retreat centre is located on 2.5 acres of land in a valley surrounded by olive and almond groves.
Accommodation includes six twin rooms and one double room, all with private ensuite bathrooms. Each room has been renovated to a high standard using locally sourced materials, creating a luxurious yet simple and understated atmosphere. A large outdoor courtyard serves as the main communal dining area, while several terraces provide space to relax in either sun or shade.
At the heart of the property, the swimming pool becomes a vibrant meeting point, where blue water meets green olive trees and red earth.
Food is central to both yoga practice and daily life. The meals are designed to be varied, unprocessed, and nourishing, supporting energy and wellbeing. All food served is plant based, and ingredients sourced or grown at YogApulia are local, seasonal, and organic whenever possible.
Refreshments are available throughout the day and include tea, coffee, water, and fruit.
Brindisi International Airport is about 40 minutes away by car, while Bari is approximately 55 minutes to the north. Renting a car in Puglia is relatively affordable and offers an easy way to explore the surrounding countryside, historic towns, and beaches. Both Bari and Brindisi airports offer a wide choice of car rental companies, including Avis and Hertz, and it is recommended to book in advance. A taxi transfer can also be arranged on arrival.
