Using alchemical philosophy as a guide, participants examine the mystical, energetic, and medicinal qualities of plants, with special attention to the teachings of Paracelsus. His understanding of the spiritual and cosmological nature of plants continues to influence contemporary esoteric and herbal traditions. The session also looks at the role of plants in Western alchemical lineages, including their planetary correspondences and healing applications.
Key ideas in alchemical botany are introduced, such as the doctrine of signatures, planetary rulerships, and the view of nature as a reflection of the cosmos. Plants are explored as vessels of both physical and subtle forces, encouraging an intuitive and embodied relationship with the natural world.
Through sensory observation, guided plant explorations, and hands-on medicine-making practice—including harvesting, preparation, and distillation—participants gain both theoretical and experiential insight into alchemical healing.
