Description

Traditional Hatha / 30 Days / 300 Hours Yoga Alliance Certification

This 300-hour advanced yoga teacher training in India is designed for students and yoga teachers who have already completed a 200-hour teacher training with a recognized school. Held in our ashram, the course is intended to deepen your understanding of advanced asanas, pranayamas, kriyas, yoga nidra, yoga philosophy, and anatomy. It also supports the growth of both your personal practice and your ability to teach advanced postures and sequences that are not typically covered in 200-hour certification programs.

We especially prefer applicants who completed their 200-hour training with us. If your previous training was done at another school or in a different style, please send your certificate and syllabus so we can confirm that you are ready for this demanding course, both in self-practice and in teaching.

If your background does not include what we consider a standard syllabus, we may ask you to complete a two-week Intensive Yoga course first as preparation for the 300-hour training. This program can be challenging without the physical and spiritual foundation offered in our 200-hour training.

What Can You Gain From This Advanced Yoga Teacher Training Retreat In India?

  • Surya Namaskaras: Daily practice of at least 20 to 30 rounds to strengthen the joints and core for advanced postures, improve cardio-lung capacity, and support detoxification of body, breath, and mind.
  • Advanced Asanas: Morning classes led by advanced teachers focus on holding intermediate to advanced postures for longer, allowing for deeper exploration of body, breath, and mind. Evening sessions are more relaxed, with greater emphasis on pranayama and meditation.
  • Anatomy & Sequencing Principles: Morning practice and afternoon workshops cover how to practice and teach advanced asanas and variations safely, according to student level. Anatomy classes explore biomechanics, major joint function, identifying dysfunction, and adapting asana practices to individual needs.
  • Pranayamas: Two daily pranayama sessions of 20 to 30 minutes each help refine foundational pranayamas and learn how to practice and teach advanced techniques safely. Bandhas are introduced gradually as the course develops, based on student capacity.
  • Kriyas: Daily practice includes Jala Neti, Kapalabhati/Bhastrika, and Agnisara, with optional practice of Sutra Neti and Shanka Prakshalana in the final week for students who are ready.
  • Meditation & Yoga Nidra: Learn and practice a range of meditation and yoga nidra techniques that can be used in your own life or shared with future students.
  • Philosophy: Study the essence of the Bhagavad-Gita for daily life and the Patanjali Yoga Sutras, depending on the philosophical background of the group. Sanskrit reading and writing may also be offered in certain trainings, depending on time and student interest.
  • Ayurveda & Yoga Therapy: Gain an introduction to Ayurveda, including lifestyle principles, diet, doshas, and remedies. Yoga therapy sessions address common diseases, contraindications for certain asanas, and ways to support students with conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and asthma.
  • Chanting: Learn to chant Sanskrit mantras that you can incorporate into your classes.
  • Teaching Practice: Each student teaches at least two to four classes to a small group of four or five fellow students, including one intermediate and one advanced yoga class. Students also learn how to lead chakra-based asana workshops. All classes are observed by expert teachers who provide corrections and guidance.

Yoga Alliance Certification

Throughout the course, students are continuously assessed in five areas: self-practice, teaching skills, anatomy and ayurveda, philosophy and psychology of yoga, and the spirituality of yoga. Every participant will have the opportunity to teach two yoga classes to a small group of four or five people, as well as practice one-to-one corrections. One written exam on philosophy and anatomy is also included to assess understanding.

After successful completion, you will receive an RYT 300-hour yoga teacher training certification, which can be added to your previous RYT 200 hours to qualify you as RYT 500 with Yoga Alliance.

Our school is registered with Yoga Alliance as AyurYoga Eco-Ashram. The faculty includes at least six teachers, some of whom are recognized as E-RYT 500 or RYT 500. The certificate from our ashram in India is valid for insurance purposes and may also be used to invoice expenses for further education and training for taxation purposes, if you are a wellness professional.

After the course, we continue to support our teachers through online groups, offering guidance, suggestions, and career opportunities. You may also seek support during the early stages of teaching through our online community or email communication.
