A silent weekend retreat at Gayles, this experience is priced per person and includes all teaching, food, refreshments, and your chosen accommodation.
Time and space are among the greatest gifts you can offer yourself. And when you find peace within, you offer something equally powerful to the world around you.
In lives filled with noise, distraction, and constant activity, it can be difficult to pause and truly get to know ourselves. Too often, we move through our days on autopilot. This silent retreat offers the chance to step away from everyday life, create space for reflection, and deepen your understanding of who you are. You will leave feeling refreshed, reset, and ready to return to daily life with renewed clarity.
It is a simple, grounded, and inspiring path to self-discovery.
The journey begins with yoga. A spiritual practice often starts with the physical postures of Asana, but while this is an important foundation, it is only the beginning. Cultivating self-awareness through Svadhyaya comes from stepping back, making time, and creating space for yourself. This is an essential part of the path to Yoga.
From plant to plate, the meals are homemade and sourced largely from the retreat’s own lovingly tended organic gardens, keeping them as fresh and natural as possible with a virtually zero carbon footprint. Simplicity and generosity are at the heart of the food, which is prepared and served with care and respect using the best ingredients available. All meals are vegetarian, with dairy-free and wheat-free alternatives available.
Gayles is located in some of the most beautiful countryside in England, nestled within eleven acres between National Trust land, a country park, and Forestry Commission land. The surrounding views are magnificent, and iconic places such as Friston Forest, Cuckmere Haven, and the Seven Sisters are only a short walk away.
