Step away from daily routines and enter a sacred space for reflection, renewal, and inner connection. This transformational plant medicine retreat offers the chance to slow down, cleanse your mind, body, and energy, and realign with your heart through ancient practices and the guidance of Ayahuasca, San Pedro, and Wilka.
Held in celebration of the Sun’s return, this special week invites you into ceremony, nature, and deep remembrance during Inti Raymi, the traditional Andean festival honoring light, life, and the cycles of the natural world. Over thirteen days, you will be supported through a profound journey of transformation in a traditional Andean setting.
Participants will take part in four master plant ceremonies:
Alongside the ceremonies, the retreat includes rituals connected to childhood, the rebirth of the sun, inner flame, and innocence, as well as spiritual cleansing, hikes, guided meditations, and more. Energy cleansing practices such as limpias and plant baths with prayer and traditional elements are also part of the experience, along with Andean offerings of gratitude to the mountains, water, and earth.
Facilitators:
Katie and Taita Miguel lead this retreat with care, reverence, and years of experience. Together, they blend Andean tradition with a heart-centered approach to healing, creating a safe and sacred container for transformation and integration. Miguel brings 30 years of experience working with Ayahuasca, San Pedro, and Wilka, while Katie contributes ritual, energy healing, and soulful guidance.

Who this retreat may be for:
No prior plant medicine experience is needed—only an open heart, willingness to surrender, and respect for the process. This retreat is not intended as a quick fix or recreational experience, and it is not suitable for anyone in an unmanaged mental health crisis or for those unwilling to follow preparation and integration guidance.
Preparation:
Come with openness and a readiness to let go. Meditation, journaling, and a willingness to surrender are encouraged. For the physical diet, please avoid red meat, alcohol, and any pharmaceutical or recreational drugs for at least 10 days before arrival. It is also recommended to limit dairy, fermented foods, caffeine, onion, garlic, and unhealthy processed foods.
Location and travel:
The retreat takes place in Malacatos, Loja province, Ecuador. The easiest route is to fly into Quito and then take a flight to Loja. Another option is to fly into Guayaquil and continue by bus to Loja, then by bus or taxi to Malacatos.
Climate and packing:
The area is known as “eternal spring,” with temperatures usually around 75F (23C). The rainy season runs from October to April. Please bring clothing for warm days and cooler evenings, plus a rain jacket, hiking shoes, swimwear, hat, sunscreen, a journal, small cash, and bug spray if desired.
Integration and group size:
Monthly open integration sessions are available with Katie, along with retreat-specific integration support. Because the groups are intentionally small, the maximum number of participants is 6, allowing for personal attention, safety, and meaningful connection.
