Are these retreats right for me?
These retreats may be right for you if you feel called to:
No prior plant medicine experience is needed, only an open heart, willingness to surrender, and respect for the process. These retreats are held in a safe, supportive container guided by experienced facilitators and traditional medicine keepers.
These retreats may not be suitable if you are seeking a quick fix or recreational experience, are in an unmanaged mental health crisis, are unwilling to follow preparation or integration guidance, or do not feel called to work with these medicines in a sacred way.
Your Facilitators
Katie & Miguel
Together, Katie and Miguel blend Andean traditions with a heart-centered approach to healing. With years of experience guiding plant medicine ceremonies and supporting integration, they create a safe and sacred space for deep transformation. Miguel brings 30 years of experience with Ayahuasca, San Pedro, and Wilka, while Katie offers ceremony, energy healing, and soulful guidance shaped by seven years of learning with Miguel, as well as training with a traditional indigenous healer and midwife from Otavalo.
How should I prepare / diet?
More important than physical preparation is coming with an open heart and mind, ready to surrender, release old habits, and make space for the light. Meditation and journaling are encouraged. For the physical diet, please avoid red meat, alcohol, and any pharmaceutical or recreational drugs for at least 10 days before the retreat. It is also recommended to avoid or limit dairy, fermented foods, caffeine, onion, garlic, and unhealthy sugary, fatty, or processed foods.
How do we get there?
The retreat takes place in Malacatos, Loja province, Ecuador. The easiest route is to fly to Quito airport, then take a flight to Loja airport, where a taxi can be arranged to bring you to the retreat for $45 one way. Another option is to fly to Guayaquil airport and continue by bus to Loja, then by bus or taxi to Malacatos. The Guayaquil to Loja bus journey takes about 8 hours.
What is the weather like?
The area is known as “eternal spring,” with beautiful weather and temperatures usually around 75F (23C). Rainy season runs from October to April, with rain typically every few days, while the rest of the year is generally sunny.
What should I bring?
Do you help with integration?

How big are the groups?
Each group is limited to a maximum of 6 participants to keep the experience personal, safe, and supportive, with plenty of space for questions and connection.
