Six nights at Playa Viva, a solar-powered eco-resort on Mexico's Pacific coast. You get two yoga sessions a day, Ayurvedic workshops, pranayama and meditation, organic farm-to-table meals, a cacao ceremony, and free time for the ocean, the pool or a massage. Led by Ayurveda counselor Kayla Johnson.
Slow down, eat well and come back to your own rhythm.
Sweet Like Honey is a six-night yoga and Ayurveda retreat at Playa Viva, a solar-powered, B-Corp-certified eco-resort. Playa Viva sits on a 200-acre nature reserve on the Pacific coast of Guerrero, about 35 minutes from Zihuatanejo. It's a place of hammocks, treehouses, an organic farm and a turtle sanctuary. Days are built around the sea and the sun.
Each day starts with movement and breath: a morning yoga practice in an open-air shala overlooking the ocean, with meditation and pranayama. The afternoons are yours. Swim, rest by the saltwater pool, book a massage or join an optional excursion. In the evening you come back to the mat for something slower: Yin, Yoga Nidra or free-form dance.
The Ayurveda thread runs through everything. In short workshops you'll learn how to read your own constitution, eat and live with the seasons, and take simple daily rituals home with you. Meals come from the resort's own farm and local suppliers. They're served buffet-style with plenty of vegetarian dishes as well as fish and meat, and most diets can be catered for.
Highlights include a traditional Mexican cacao ceremony, a bonfire evening and a free day for snorkeling, fishing or seasonal whale watching. You'll be in a small group of no more than 12, so there's room for real attention and real connection.
