This team specializes in high-altitude Andean journeys and holds all official permits, providing professional guides, ethical porter support, and carefully prepared meals throughout the trek. 1 Cusco · KM 82 · Ayapata
We will pick you up from your accommodation in Cusco, Urubamba, or Ollantaytambo. Pick-up times are approximately 4:00–4:30 AM from Cusco, 5:30–6:00 AM from Urubamba, and 6:30–7:00 AM from Ollantaytambo. Exact times will be confirmed during your briefing, as they may vary depending on your location.
After breakfast prepared by our cook in Ollantaytambo, your guide will introduce you to your team of porters. We then drive to Km 82 to pass the first Inca Trail checkpoint and begin the trek (please bring your original passport).
The first two hours of hiking are relatively easy, leading to the Inca site of Patallacta, an ancient checkpoint on the route to Machu Picchu. From there, it's another two-hour hike to our lunch spot, followed by a 2.5-hour hike to our first campsite at Ayapata (3,300 m). Along the way, we pass small communities where you can buy snacks or essentials if needed.
We arrive at camp around 5:00 PM. After settling in, enjoy a hot drink and snack with the team. Dinner is served at 7:30 PM, followed by a well-deserved rest.

2 Ayapata · Dead Woman's Pass · Runkuraccay · Chaquiccocha
Your porters will wake you early with a hot cup of coca tea. Today is the longest day of the trek. We hike about 4 hours to the highest point, Dead Woman's Pass (4,215 m), where we pause to enjoy the views before descending into the Pacaymayu Valley to our lunch spot, about 1.5 hours downhill, with time to refill water.After lunch, we ascend for 2 hours to the second pass, stopping at the Inca site of Runcu Raccay and viewing impressive waterfalls.
We then hike another hour downhill to the remarkable Inca site of Sayacmarca for a short visit and sunset views over the Vilcabamba range.A final 20-minute walk brings us to our second campsite, Chaquicocha (3,600 m). After dinner, weather and energy permitting, enjoy stargazing and learning about Inca constellations under the clear southern sky.

3 Chaquiccocha · Phuyupatamarca · Wiñay Wayna
Today is often considered the most beautiful day of the trail. We follow ancient Inca paths as the landscape shifts from the Andes into the lush cloud forest. Along the way, we visit remarkable archaeological sites, including Phuyupatamarka and Intipata.
After a scenic descent, we arrive at Wiñaywayna, our final campsite and one of the most significant Inca sites on the trail. In the afternoon, your guide will provide an orientation for Machu Picchu, followed by a final shared dinner with the trekking team.

Difficulty: Easy to moderate (mostly downhill)

4 Wiñaywayna · Sun Gate · Machu Picchu · Aguas Calientes · ONAYA
We wake up early for the final stretch of the trail, passing the checkpoint and hiking to the Sun Gate (Intipunku) for your first sunrise view of Machu Picchu. We then descend to the citadel, entering Circuit 1 for panoramic photos, followed by a guided tour on Circuit 3, exploring key temples, ceremonial spaces, and water systems.
After the visit, we take the bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch. In the afternoon, you board the 1:30 PM train to Hidroeléctrica, where our team will transfer you by private vehicle to Onaya Center, in the rainforest near Santa Teresa.
In the evening, after about seven hours of rest, you prepare for and participate in your first Ayahuasca ceremony, beginning at 9:30 PM.
5 ONAYA · Ayahuasca Ceremony
A day dedicated to rest, grounding, and integration. You will have time to relax in nature, journal, and receive guidance and support from our team.In the evening, you participate in your second Ayahuasca ceremony, held in a safe, respectful, and traditional setting,today the ceremony begins earlier,at around 6 pm.
6 ONAYA · Coffee Farm Experience & Ayahuasca Ceremony
After breakfast and morning integration, we visit a local organic coffee farm, where you will learn about the full coffee process and take part in a hands-on workshop.
If you wish, you may also join a traditional cooking class, using local ingredients.
In the evening, you complete the ceremonial cycle with your third Ayahuasca ceremony.
7 ONAYA · Santa Teresa Hot Springs · Cusco
After breakfast, we close the retreat with a final integration session and meeting with the shaman.
We then travel to the natural hot springs of Santa Teresa, allowing the body to relax and restore. In the afternoon, we continued by private transport back to Cusco, arriving at approximately 7:00 pm.
