Traditional Hatha / 30 Days / Yoga Alliance Certification
This one-month, 200-hour yoga teacher training in India is designed for dedicated yoga students who want to immerse themselves in the depth of traditional Hatha practice in a calm, supportive setting. While one part of the course focuses on building the skills needed to teach, with detailed asana practice and teaching methodology, the other part emphasizes pranayama, meditation, and practical philosophy. The aim is to help students connect physical practice with traditional spirituality and a yogic way of life, especially for those navigating the pressures of modern society.
Style of Yoga?
The training is centered on traditional Hatha Yoga, with a strong focus on spinal anatomy as the foundation of asana practice. Rather than prioritizing speed or flowing sequences, the course emphasizes alignment, stability, and working in harmony with the body’s structure. Chakras and the subtle energy body are also part of the approach, allowing the practice to be adapted to each person’s physical and mental needs instead of following a generic sequence.
Classes always include pranayama and Yoga Nidra. Another key difference from many modern yoga styles is the emphasis on Sthira, or stability, with correct alignment at the eight major joints and breath awareness to support longer, safer holds. Students are discouraged from fast flows that ignore joint and spinal anatomy or rely on muscular effort without enough prana supporting the body.
This 200-hour course provides the essential tools to begin sharing yoga in a professional and thoughtful way. Even if teaching is not your goal, the practices and philosophy are intended to support body, mind, and intellect, while encouraging a more peaceful and meaningful way of living.

Yoga Alliance Certification
Students are assessed throughout the course across five areas: self-practice, teaching skills, anatomy + Ayurveda, philosophy + psychology of yoga, and spirituality of yoga. Morning yoga sessions support self-practice and ensure that students can confidently demonstrate the asanas they will later teach. Teaching skills are evaluated through 12 supervised practice sessions in small groups, and each trainee must teach at least two yoga classes. There is also one written exam on anatomy and one on philosophy. If needed, one-to-one support is available to help clarify the key concepts.
The ashram has been accredited as an RYS 200 + RYS 300 Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance USA since 2010. The faculty includes at least six teachers, mostly recognized as E-RYT 500 or ERYT 200. The certificate is valid for registration as an RYT with Yoga Alliance. During the final week, students are also guided through teacher registration, insurance, taxation, medical release forms, and the business side of teaching yoga.
