Byron Yoga Centre is among Australia’s most established yoga teacher training schools, with a history dating back to 1988. It has also operated as a Registered Training Organisation since 2009, welcoming students from across Asia, Africa, Europe, South America, North America, and Oceania.
This program is ideal for people who want to expand their understanding of yoga and strengthen their teaching abilities.
Throughout the course, students explore both the theory and the practice of yoga teaching. The training covers essential teaching skills, safe and effective class delivery, and supervised teaching practice to help build confidence step by step.
Learning takes place in a supportive environment, with practical sessions and guided teaching opportunities that allow students to apply what they study. Regular yoga classes are also included in the training schedule to support personal practice and deeper engagement with the course content.
The course was a great opportunity to grow as a human being, to create a sense of community, to learn how to conduct a safe and good yoga class. I am so happy I did it. One of the best courses of my life.
Applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency and provide an IELTS Certificate with an overall band score of at least 6.0. Students also need to be able to read and understand written English and communicate effectively in English.
Recognition of Prior Learning may be available, however only Australian qualifications will be accepted by Byron Yoga Centre and this may affect visa length. Direct Credit Transfer for selected units may also be possible depending on previous study.
Byron Yoga Centre offers four intakes each year: January, April, July, and October.
